The '''Winchman''' was part of the RAF helicopter team called out to assist Mountain Rescue in the [[Lake District]] after [[Liam Connor]] was found in a gorge, having fallen in the dark trying to retrieve [[Ozzy]], the dog, who had gone missing when walking on the fells while on a short break with [[Maria Sutherland]]. Liam was winched into a helicopter on a stretcher and taken away to hospital. He was seriously ill at first but recovered after several days and was later discharged.

[[Janice Battersby\|Janice]] assures Fiz that her night with [[Les Battersby\|Les]] was a one-off. Shelley excitedly tells [[Sunita Alahan\|Sunita]] about her date with Charlie. [[Mike Baldwin\|Mike]] is desperate to get the [[Underworld\|factory]] finished a soon as possible so he offers [[Charlie Stubbs\|Charlie]] a large amount of cash to get extra help and finish it a week early. Rita goes round to [[Les Battersby\|Les]]' to try and convince him to take Chesney in. He is not keen on the idea and claims that Chesney is not his responsibility anymore. [[Todd Grimshaw\|Todd]] breaks off arrangements with [[Karl Foster\|Karl]] and is upset when Karl announces he shall go out anyway and hopefully find himself somebody who is available. [[Ashley Peacock\|Ashley]] helps [[Claire Peacock\|Claire]] move into her new [[2a Coronation Street\|flat]] and begins to worry when [[Candice Stowe\|Candice]] arrives and brags about their party.
