Coronation Street history
- 1902 - The Rovers Return Inn officially opens for business. Local landowners Charles Hardcastle and Mabel Grimshaw pull the first pints. Jim and Nellie Corbishley are the first landlords.
- 1961 - Frank Barlow is promoted at the Post Office while Ken Barlow takes Valerie Tatlock out for the first time.
- 1971 - Alan Howard and Janet Reid start to get close with each other, leading to an affair.
- 1989 - Mother of two Gail Tilsley begins a relationship with Martin Platt who is ten years her junior.
- 1993 - Jim McDonald discovers that separated wife Liz is seeing Colin Barnes. To everyone's surprise he wishes them well.
- 2004 - Norris Cole angers Emily Bishop when he pays her overdue council tax that she was withholding as a protest.
- 2006 - Homeless Craig Harris moves in with the Croppers and starts helping out at Roy's Rolls.
- 2010 - Natasha Blakeman tells Nick Tilsley that she's pregnant with his baby. Bill Webster sells the Builder's Yard to Owen Armstrong.
- 2012 - Katy Armstrong offers to be a surrogate for Gary Windass and Izzy Armstrong.
- 2013 - Craig Tinker reveals to Karl Munro that he started the Rovers fire that killed Toni Griffiths and Sunita Alahan. Karl - the true culprit - scares Craig into silence by telling him that he'll go to prison.
