23rd January - Steve McDonald and Tracy Barlow are married but during the reception in the Rovers, Becky McDonald hands over an envelope containing Tracy's medical records which prove that Tracy suffered a miscarriage before she fell down the stairs at Becky's flat. Deirdre Barlow's part in the cover up is also exposed. Becky then leaves for a new life with Danny Stratton in Barbados.
5th March - Frank Foster is found murdered in Underworld.
19th March - Anne Foster confesses to murdering Frank.
16th April - Betty Williams passes away while son Gordon Clegg is visiting.
11th May - Lesley Kershaw is electrocuted when she puts the toaster in the sink while alone at No.11. She is killed instantly.
4th June - Dennis Tanner and Rita Sullivan marry.
