Coronation Street historyEdit

• 1973 - Ray Langton chats up Tricia Hopkins (First appearance of the character and her mother Vera Hopkins).
• 1980 - Bet Lynch's flat is ransacked when burglars gain entry having stolen her handbag in Marshall's department store.
• 1984 - Derek Wilton and Mavis Riley have very tame stag and hen night's prior to their expected wedding.
• 1986 - Hilda Ogden tells Kevin Webster and Sally Seddon that they can live with her after their wedding.
• 1993 - Alf Roberts buys back the Corner Shop at an auction to sell the proceeds of the estate of the deceased Brendan Scott. Audrey is not pleased.
• 1997 - Natalie Horrocks tries to get the police to arrest Sally Webster for the damage she caused to her house but they refuse to get involved in a domestic dispute.
• 1999 - Ashley Peacock and Maxine Heavey get married, Sharon Gaskell attempts suicide and Judy Mallett collapses with an embolism in her back yard.
• 2000 - Fred Elliott gives Ashley the Butcher's Shop on Victoria Street. Gail Platt asks Martin for a divorce.
• 2003 - Jack Duckworth is fined £200 for growing cannabis in his greenhouse when in reality it was put there by Tyrone Dobbs' friend Maz O'Loughlin.
• 2004 - As the next stage of her plan to wreak revenge on Dev Alahan and Sunita Parekh, Maya Sharma marries Walid Patel in Sunita's name.
• 2007 - Hayley Cropper confesses to Christian Gatley that she is his father from before her sex change. Christian punches her to the ground.
• 2009 - Luke Strong dumps Rosie Webster.
• 2010 - Natasha Blakeman takes an overdose when Nick Tilsley dumps after finding out she had aborted his baby and pretended to still be pregnant. Paramedics are called soon enough to stabilize Natasha's condition and she comes round later in the day.
• 2012 - Ken Barlow is elected Head of Governors at Bessie Street School, only to come face-to-face with ex-lover and fellow board member Wendy Papadopoulos, after twenty-two years.
