• 1966 - Jack and Annie Walker return from several weeks stay in Ireland to find the Rovers completely reorganised under Brenda Kelly's managership (In reality Arthur Leslie and Doris Speed, together with Patricia Phoenix and H.V. Kershaw had returned from a month's promotional tour of Australia).
• 1973 - Elsie Tanner and Norma Ford call in the health inspectors after they find that Stan Ogden has let No.13 become infested with vermin in Hilda's absence.
• 1983 - Suzie Birchall's abusive husband, Terry Goodwin, follows her from up from London.
• 1988 - Audrey Roberts returns from Canada and tells Gail Tilsley all about Stephen Reid - the brother she never knew she had.
• 1990 - Curly Watts finds out that Reg Holdsworth has been sleeping in the Bettabuys' stockroom as his wife has thrown him out.
• 1997 - Jack Duckworth traps Terry to prove to Vera that he was going to run off with the takings from the Rovers.
• 1999 - Alma Baldwin suspects she may have cancer.
• 2001 - Fiz Brown makes a false allegation of violent abuse against foster parent Roy Cropper.
• 2005 - Katy Harris is buried.
• 2008 - Paul Clayton confesses his part in the arson attack on the restaurant to a disappointed Jack Duckworth.
