• 1982 - Toyah Battersby born.
• 1984 - Billy Walker makes a pass at a married Deirdre Barlow, which Deirdre rejects.
• 1997 - Deirdre Rachid has a fateful first encounter with airline pilot Jon Lindsay at the Warwick Hotel.
• 2003 - Millionaire Wally Bannister dumps Blanche Hunt to go out with Blanche's granddaughter Tracy Barlow.
• 2007 - Claire Peacock is arrested by the police under suspicion of starting a fire at No.4.
• 2008 - Jerry Morton has a heart attack.
• 2010 - Robbie Sloane is released from prison. He goes to Coronation Street, where he spies on Carla Connor and Roy Cropper, following his cellmate Tony Gordon's instructions.
• 2012 - Lesley Kershaw's funeral takes place.

• 1990 - The 1990 ITV Telethon is transmitted in a twenty-seven hour marathon. Coronation Street contribution is a special mini-episode which sees the temporary return of Hilda Ogden to the programme.
