Alan David (born 29th December, 1947) is a Welsh actor who played Rovers Return Inn relief manager Glyn Thomas on Coronation Street from June to July 1973.

This was one of his first television roles and he has since built up a long series of credits including parts in Sam, Emmerdale, a regular in the 1970s comedy series The Sqiuirrels, The Sweeney, Shoestring, Foxy Lady, Remington Steele, The Twlight Zone, a regular role in Making Out, Cracker, Lovejoy, Peak Practice , Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Casualty, The Bill, Heartbeat, Doctor Who, EastEnders, Holby City, The Green Green Grass and Benidorm.

On stage he was worked in rep and for the National Theatre and many roles for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
