Anthony Barclay appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as Karl Harper between November 2001 and February 2002; and he returned to the programme in October 2017 as the Barrister representing Neil Clifton at his trial.

Other credits include roles in Screaming, Love Hurts, Common As Muck, Birds of a Feather, The Bill, Smack the Pony, Mersey Beat, Casualty, Judge John Deed and the short film Citizen versus Kane.

Barclay is the son of South African musician Danny Williams - who had a number one hit with "Moon River" in 1961 - and has three children with former wife Doon Mackichan.
