Avis Bunnage (22nd April 1923 - 4th October 1990) was a Lancashire born actress who played two roles on Coronation Street: Alice Burgess, sister of Harry Hewitt, appearing between March and May 1961; and she returned to the programme in November 1976 as Supper Bar assistant Edie Blundell.

In addition she appeared in an episode of the Street spin-off Pardon the Expression in 1966.

Her acting career spanned from the 1940s to the 1990s. Amongst her list of film credits are parts in The Krays and Ghandi. She also appeared in The L-Shaped Room a 1962 film that Patricia Phoenix was allowed to make in a break from her duties on the Street as Elsie Tanner.
