Barry Kershaw was in charge of the auction of Casey's Garage's equipment when the garage went bust in 1991. Mark Casey had run the garage into the ground after sacking his old boss Kevin Webster earlier that year. Now installed in MVB Motors, Kevin was in the market for equipment and attended the auction along with MVB's owner Mike Baldwin.
Before bidding started, Barry indicated to Mark that he was optimistic as there was a good crowd, but in the event MVB Motors snapped up most of the gear for less than the suggested opening bids.
