When Steve and Becky McDonald were told that their application to be adoption parents had been successful they discovered that one of the reasons was a negative reference from Becky’s half-sister Kylie Turner. Becky traced her to the posh Buttercup House where she told her she had landed on her feet with the owner Ben Carrig. He suddenly arrived home in the middle of their conversation (which Kylie swiftly exited) only for Becky to find out that her sister had been squatting there without his knowledge. When Becky find Kylie soon afterwards drinking outside a shop, Kylie told her that she had been a cleaner at the house for a while and had stolen the key.
