Bert Palmer (? ?, 1901 - 15th January, 1980) played two parts on Coronation Street: Mr Hartley in 1965 and Walter Biddulph in 1973. His other credits include The Avengers, Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?, I Didn't Know You Cared, Emmerdale Farm and the first episode of the Leonard Swindley spin-off Turn out the Lights in 1967.
Bert was married to Coronation Street actress Lynne Carol (Martha Longhurst) for forty-six years.
