Betty Hardy (16th April, 1904 - 1st July, 1981) played Mission cleaner Clara Midgeley on Coronation Street from 1965 to 1966 after appearing in an episode of the spin-off Pardon the Expression. She also appeared in the untransmitted pilot of another proposed spin-off from Coronation Street entitled Rest Assured in 1972. Her other credits include Rumpole Of The Bailey and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
