The Bloke and his four mates were customers in Nick's Bistro in November 2015 at a time when waitress Steph Britton had been humiliated when ex-boyfriend Jamie Bowman had posted nude pictures she had allowed him to take of her on to the internet. Steph heard the five lads laughing and got it into her head that she was the object of their amusement. She confronted them and the bloke showed her the mobile phone footage of one of the group undertaking the ice-bucket challenge the previous year, asking if they needed to run everything past her when they eat in the restaurant. Doubly embarrassed, Steph ran into the kitchen.
