Bob Rodwell was the long lost cousin of Michael and the nephew of Keith Rodwell. In September 2014, Michael decided to try and contact his family - having lost contact with his father's side for many decades. Searching the social media for answers, he found someone by the same name living in Swinton. Adding Bob as a friend, he replied to Michael's message confirming that he was related and knew Keith. However Bob was the bearer of bad news when he revealed that Michael's father had died twenty years previously.
