Bob Wright was a representative from the Building Society who visited the house of airline pilot Ian Jenkins and agreed to give Jon Lindsay a mortgage after looking over Ian's bank statements. At this time, Lindsay had used the pilot's identity and paperwork to obtain the money fraudulently.

Thirteen years before becoming Coronation Street producer, Phil Collinson portrayed this single-episode role.
