Brenda Cowan was a class mate of Lucille Hewitt. Lucille had asked her to look after her brother Christopher Hewitt whilst she visited Gamma Garments. When Brenda left Christopher alone he was snatched away by Joan Akers. The action happened off-screen and as a result Brenda was an unseen character.
