Bryan Kirkwood

Bryan Kirkwood was initially a researcher on Coronation Street and then became a storyliner (then termed a "story associate") for a number of initial episodes in 2001 and then full time in the role from July 2002 until August 2004 with a total of 509 episodes to his name.

He immediately transferred into the role of script editor between August 2004 and July 2005 with a further 250 credits to his name, 215 with Jenny White and a further 35 with both White and Anita Turner.

His final role on the programme from July 2005 to April 2006 was as the story editor, contributing 50 episodes with Mark Bickerton and a further 169 on his own, making 219 episodes in total.

He left the Street to serve as producer on Hollyoaks and then executive producer for EastEnders, holding that position until 2012. He then returned to Lime Pictures, the company behind Hollyoaks, to develop and produce new series. In September 2012, his name once again appeared on the credits of Hollyoaks, this time as executive producer and it was confirmed Kirkwood would work alongside former Street producer Tony Wood. He departed from the role in January 2021 and was last credited in July 2021.
