When Sarah Platt was badly injured in a joyriding accident in a car driven by Aidan Critchley and stolen from Ken Barlow, Carla Holmes was the paramedic who attended her at the scene in October 2002. She administered oxygen to the unconscious girl and commented that her left pupil was fixed and dilated. Suspecting internal bleeding, she asked the firemen to hurry in cutting Sarah out in order that they could get her to Weatherfield General and get some of the internal pressure off the brain.
