Carol Berlyne (born on 7th April 1944 and sometimes spelled "Carole Berlyne") appeared in Coronation Street in April 1981 as barmaid Shirley Bennett, and returned to the programme in November 1988 where she appeared as an unnamed Woman who spoke to Terry Duckworth as he was trying to remove graffiti that had been sprayed onto Mike Baldwin's Jaguar.
She also made appearances in Granada series The Villains and The Cuckoo Waltz as well as The Liver Birds and A Different Kind of Love.
On stage she received good reviews for her lead role in The Second Time Around for the Jewish Theatre Group at the Capital Theatre in Manchester.
