Carol Kaye (born Carol Lindsey on 12th April 1930 in Oldham, died 20th August 2006 in Brighton) appeared in Coronation Street in March 1983 as Maureen Slater, a woman who Fred Gee met on a night out and who then used him financially before dumping him.
She also appeared in Albion Market, The Bill, Heartbeat and Doctors
As well as acting, she was a member of The Kaye Sisters, a family group of singers who had several hits in the 1950s.
