Extended episodes

There are instalments of Coronation Street which are longer than the standard half-hour in length. Some of these episodes were planned as single episodes (i.e. with two Production codes and two writers and were edited together before transmission). Others were commissioned and planned as one extended episode which were on occasion neither half-an-hour nor one hour in length e.g. forty-five minutes. Notes on the individual pages give the relevant details for each episode.
