Chris Truelove designed 201 episodes of Coronation Street between May 1990 and August 1991, returning for a further stint in the role between March and May 1993.
In 2010 he was the production designer on The Road to Coronation Street which depicted the battle to get the programme on to the screen fifty years earlier and involved him depicting the Quay Street studios as they had been in 1960s and recreating some of Denis Parkin's sets for the programme from that time.
Twice nominated for a BAFTA award, he has also worked on Village Hall, Strangers, Brideshead Revisited, Crown Court, Foxy Lady, Scully, The Return of the Antelope, Game, Set, and Match, several series of Prime Suspect, The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes, The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes, Cold Feet, Island at War, Distant Shores, See No Evil: The Moors Murders, Wired, The Street, Room at the Top and Home from Home.
