Christopher Ravenscroft (born 24th March 1946 in Hampstead, London) appeared on Coronation Street in October 1978 as a Police Sergeant.
He is best known for playing D.C.I. Reg Wexford's sidekick D.I. Mike Burden in The Ruth Rendell Mysteries. Ravenscroft's other known on-screen credits include roles in Midsomer Murders, The Shell Seekers, A Mind to Murder, Doctors, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Henry V, The Levels, Brookside, Crown Court and The Courtroom.
