The hapless Club Manager saw his worst fears realised when Carla Connor's hen party descended on his premises in Deansgate, Manchester in May 2016 to celebrate her forthcoming nuptials to Nick Tilsley. With all the women dressed in black wigs to emulate Carla (and looking like Morticia Addams as a result) they got steadily more and more drunk and raucous. When the manager made the mistake of pulling the DJ away for a few moments, Kate Connor got Carla to take over his booth and start making announcements over the sound system. A paralytic Gail Rodwell tried to muscle in and pushed Kate over a part of the stand when they were wrestling with the microphone. The manager returned and ordered her down but when he was surrounded by the laughing women, he was left with no option but to evict them. When they refused to go, he called the police but Gail believed they were strippers and led the woman in rushing them, leading to their arrest.
