The Consultant gave Fiz Stape and Tyrone Dobbs the results of an MRI scan that had been carried out on Hope Stape after Dr Gaddas had found a lump in her abdomen. Although the couple were positive that the news would be good, they were devastated to be told that Hope had a mass in her stomach and that it could be a childhood cancer. Hope would need a biopsy to see exactly what they were dealing with and then, if there was cancer, further scans would be needed to see if the cancer had spread to other parts of the little girl's body and then a course of treatment could be decided. She finished by expressing her sympathy for the shock that the news had caused them.
