Dario Coates (born 25th April 1992 in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire) appeared on Coronation Street between December 2007 and April 2008 as Alex Neeson - the biological son of Michelle Connor and her partner Dean. The role of Alex was later taken over by James Burrows in 2018.
A pupil at Calder High School, he was also a member of Calderdale Theatre School and it was through their contacts that he was invited to audition for the part. He played the role of the Mad Hatter in the theatre school's production of Alice in Wonderland.
Also appearing in a short film entitled Trailing Dirt, he has since completed a three year acting BA course at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts.
