Darren Bancroft (born 19th January 1973 in Leicester) appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:
- The Landlord of Woodland Park Guest House where Rob Donovan went into hiding for several days between October and November 2014.
- Dave, a man who had a rather disastrous date with Gina Seddon in November 2018.
- DC Holden in both February 2020 and October 2022.
After starting out with the Leicestershire Youth Theatre, he was offered a place at Rose Bruford College and graduated in 1994.
Making his television acting debut in Crown Prosecutor, other credits include Goodnight Sweetheart, Cold Lazarus, The Bill, Gimme 6, Dream Team, The Tudors, Casualty, Heartbeat, Code of a Killer and Doctors, along with the films Titanic Town, Endgame and Wounded.
On stage he has appeared in productions of The Hypochondriac, Cuttin' a Rug, Tom Jones, Brassed Off and Of Mice and Men.
