David is a Yorkshire Terrier and formerly the pet dog of Mrs. Moss, an old lady who was a regular at Audrey's salon. David's owner passed away and left the dog in her will to hairdresser David Platt, after whom he was named, along with £20,000. David now lives with the Platts at 8 Coronation Street. The dog caused so much trouble for neighbour Yasmeen Nazir that she temporarily confiscated the dog; but she soon returned it to the Platts.
