David Alfred Brierley (born January 1935 in Yorkshire, died 10th June 2008 in Twickenham) played three roles in Coronation Street:

He also appeared in Saturday Playhouse, BBC Sunday-Night Theatre, Emergency-Ward 10, Armchair Theatre, Harpers West One, Z Cars, Probation Officer, Moonstrike, Arthur of the Britons, Threads, One by One, Cover her Face, The Tripods, Howards' Way, Blind Justice and for one season he provided the voice of K9 in Doctor Who.

Film roles included parts in On the Game and Adventures of a Taxi Driver. On stage he appeared in The Master Builder, The School For Wives, Amadeus, The Importance of Being Earnest, Julius Caesar and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

On radio, he was heard in Saturday-Night Theatre, Where There's a Will, The Seasons of the Blind, Afternoon Theatre, Thirty-Minute Theatre and regular reader on A Rhyme in Time.
