David Lonsdale (born 21st May 1963 in Southport) appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:
- Peter Barlow during the character's appearances between March and May 1986
- An unnamed Legal Investigator in January 2011
- Edwin Soames in May and September 2012.
Lonsdale is best known for portraying namesake David Stockdale in Heartbeat between 1993 and 2010. He has also had roles in Rockliffe's Babies, Bust, Dramarama, Resurrected, Inspector Morse, Moving Story, The Bill, The Chief, The Full Monty, Resurrected, Casualty, Tariro, Doctors, Press, Emmerdale, Downton Abbey, Vera, Anthony and The Bay.
