Davver was a lad who along with his unnamed mate were playing on their bikes on Tinder Way near to a new building site under a viaduct which Rob Donovan was trying to gain access to. Three months earlier, Rob had buried several items under a railway viaduct on the site, all connected with his murder of Tina McIntyre including the iron bar he used to batter her head in. Hearing that what had seemed a derelict though safe place was now being developed, Rob hurried there and gave a story to a Security Guard that his wife's dog had got lost there. The unsympathetic guard told him it was a secure site and the loss of the dog would teach him to keep it on a lead in the future.
Rob offered the lads money to distract the guard and he gave them £10 upfront with the promise of a further £10 if they found Eccles, though in truth the dog hadn't been taken there. The two lads gave a story that they'd kicked their football over the site and cycled unasked into the site while the furious guard gave chase. Rob managed to retrieve his items and drove off, leaving the angry lads behind who wanted their other tenner.
