Donna-Marie Priest was a young woman who called into The Kabin to pay for and collect a small chest of drawers that she had won from Norris Cole in an online auction. Addressing Norris as "Mr Cool", she came into the shop wearing a large pair of sunglasses and behaving in a somewhat over-the-top manner. She was disappointed with the smallish size of the chest and distracted Norris with a request for a cup of tea, claiming that she had a "throat like a desert welly". As soon as Norris had gone into the back to brew up, she used a penknife to make a three-inch scratch on the side of the chest and when he returned demanded a £50 reduction from the startled man to compensate for the supposedly undisclosed flaw. At that moment, Gemma Winter entered the shop and instantly recognised Donna-Marie as the biggest rip-off merchant on the Paul Robeson Estate where they both hailed from. Caught out, the crook tried to reduce her reduction demand to £25 but Gemma wouldn't let her leave until she had compensated Norris with £20 for the damage she had caused to the chest. Donna-Marie sulkily complied and left but Norris showed little gratitude to Gemma. Rita Tanner later made him thank her, only to be told by Gemma that she hated "old crumblies" being mugged off.
