Doreen Violet Andrew (born 1st October 1923 in Hampstead, London; died 11th June 2017 in Islington, London) appeared on Coronation Street in September 1972 as Margaret Beecham, a mentally ill woman who believed she was responsible for kidnapping baby Jason Lomax.

Her other credits included roles in Emergency-Ward 10, Z Cars, South Riding, Within These Walls, The Ruth Rendell Mysteries, Dodgem, Nice Town, The Bill, Casualty, Doctors and Hotel Babylon.

On stage, she appeared in several productions for the Salisbury Arts Theatre, including I Am a Camera, Clutterbuck, Deep are the Roots, Saloon Bar, Sabrina Fair, Robinson Crusoe, The Bad Samaritan, You and Your Wife, Doctor in the House, Lady Windermere's Fan, Dark Summer, Busman's Honeymoon, How Dare We!, The Bishop Misbehaves, The Seven Year Itch, Hippo Dancing, Mine Hostess, The Ghost Train, The Happiest of Three, Victoria Regina, The Queen's Highland Servant, Man and Superman, A Day in the Death of Joe Egg and The Lady's Not for Burning. Other works include Random Harvest, Home at Seven, Murder at the Vicarage, The Rivals, Hobson's Choice, Cyrano de Bergerac, The Reluctant Debutante, Ring Round the Moon, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Habeas Corpus, Revengers' Comedies, Three Hours After Marriage, Kindertransport and A Letter of Resignation.
