The unnamed Electricity Man called into Jim's Cafe to read the meter and told Alma Baldwin that he also really needed to read the one installed in the flat upstairs. Alma, intrigued by what tenant Tanya Pooley was getting up to, used the spare key and the excuse provided to let him in and have a look around herself while he completed his task. She found that Tanya had few possessions in the flat and seemed to be using it as a love-nest.
