Emma Woodward was born 9th May, 1993 in Whitefield, Manchester. She was the second actress to play the role of Sophie Webster in Coronation Street, taking over from Ashleigh Middleton and first appearing on 29th June 1997. She continued in the role until 25th April 2004 when she last appeared, leaving the programme at the age of fifteen to concentrate on her schoolwork.
