Plot[]
The last pieces of timber are cleared from the Rovers. The CID are called in to look for Tracy. They search No.3 thinking that Deirdre might have killed Tracy herself. Mike has two broken ribs, slight concussion and a fractured ankle. Len has a head-cut and wrenched shoulder. Betty is treated for cuts. The lorry is moved. Len is discharged, Mike has to stay in hospital. Alf, still unconscious, is put into a hospital bed. Ena prays at his bedside. Rita feels Len should contact Ray about Tracy and Deirdre but he doesn't agree. Deirdre walks the streets, crying, before standing on a canal bridge, contemplating suicide.

Notes[]
- The exterior shots of Weatherfield General were filmed at the former Salford Royal Infirmary on Chapel Street which closed in 1994. The canal scene was filmed at the Castle Street bridge looking down on the lock of the Rochdale canal as it meets the Castlefield basin. The same location was used in Episode 533 (19th January 1966) when Jackie Marsh parked her car at the same place that Deirdre Langton stops at in this episode.
