Plot
Edit
Esther tells Emily that she could get her a job at her firm. Swindley threatens to resign unless Emily is reinstated. The Hewitts visit Lucille's school. Her teacher, Miss Welch, says she is satisfied with her work and accuses the Hewitts of pushing Lucille too much. Frank gets impatient for an answer. Mr Papagopolous agrees to let Emily return for six weeks. If trade has not picked up by then she'll have to go. Esther tells Elsie that she saw Christine at the pictures with Joe Makinson.
