Plot
Emily realises Mike has not advertised for a replacement for her. Bet gets Wally Trainer into bed but he bursts into tears and confesses he's married. Rita is upset when Glenn Pritchard treats her like a mother. Emily agrees to withdraw her notice from the factory after lecturing Mike on his business practices. Gail advises Kevin to think seriously about his future. Mavis and Norris Birchall enjoy a day sightseeing in a pony and trap before they, to their regret, part company.
