PlotEdit

Ivy decides that she wants George. Betty goes on holiday rather than see Bet make a fool of herself with Frank. Bet spends the night away from the Rovers. George Newton phones and Gloria covers for her. George turns down an evening with Ivy. Bet eventually returns to the Rovers at lunchtime. Ida and Shirley find George and factory worker Pauline Walsh out together.
