Emily goes onto the building site and when told Maurice Jones is not there, she says that she'll wait. When he arrives he tries to fob her off but he does finally talk to her and refuses to take responsibility for redundancy money and the girls are disappointed. They come to a decision to implement stage two of their plan. Jenny is still worried about her dad and both Audrey then Alf drop round to warn her that the trial won't be plain sailing. Audrey takes Ivy's side against Gail and Martin but Gail says that their relationship will go on.
