Renee Dodds congratulates Curly for getting rid of Vera but Kimberley overhears and is upset that Curly had a hand in Vera's dismissal. Rita realises that Jenny blames her for Alan's death when she returns to find Jenny has moved out of No.7. Alan is buried. Martin, Sally and Kevin go along to support Jenny and are the only mourners. Curly finds Reg Holdsworth and Renee in a compromising position in the storeroom. Jenny is upset at the lack of mourners at the funeral. Curly secures Vera's job with the knowledge of Reg's affair. He is horrified when Vera discovers that it was his assessment that lost her the job in the first place. Audrey resumes house-hunting. Jenny is emotional after the funeral and asks Martin to stay the night with her.
