PlotEdit

Alma visits Mike to check he really had his accountant over and not a woman. Tina is excited about going to Charleville despite Eddie letting her know it's a football trip and they're going by coach. The police tell Ivy they've questioned Joe Egerton and his mate and they've admitted everything. Don is relieved when he hears the news, assuming he's in the clear. Deirdre is fed up with everyone feeling sorry for her. Don goes to the police station and finds out his assault charge still holds. Alec plans a big meal for Sandra, Tim and Victoria and tells the Rovers staff to watch their language when the Ardens arrive. Jack has to wear a collar and tie. Don feels like a criminal. Mike cooks dinner for Alma and asks her to move in with him. She accepts. Sandra arrives an hour early to see Alec, without Tim or Victoria. Having been hiding her true feelings out of politeness so far, she bluntly tells Alec that she doesn't want to know him or see him anymore; she had to grow up without him, and it's too late to start caring now. After Sandra leaves, Bet comforts a heartbroken Alec.
