Plot[]
Percy, complete with broken ankle, takes charge of the ward. Phyllis feels down about Percy until Gail tells her that when somebody saves a person's life, they form an undying bond. Ingram puts Mike in his place for pretending to be a partner. Deirdre goes to Harrogate, admitting to Emily that she wishes it was Ken seeing her off. Ivy wants a job. Phyllis plans to visit Percy and doesn't take Emily's hints about her not being welcome. Don is on a high after sticking it to Mike but is brought back to down to Earth when he receives his court summons for 23rd March. Des asks Kevin to place a £500 bet on a horse for him in a bookies in Clegg Street. Percy is annoyed when the hospital staff ignore his instructions and let Phyllis in. He's put out further to discover he slipped on a French apple. Emily discovers Tracy on the phone to Wendy. Tracy is brazen about it. Sally is cross about the bet until Kevin produces his winnings of £100. Tracy leaves the house for Wendy's, despite Emily trying to stop her.
