The bike is back in No.9's yard temporarily while Jack fruitlessly tries to find another home for it. Kevin tries to get Sally interested in a foreign holiday. Jim tells Jack he is jealous of him restoring his old bike. Percy awaits news of compensation for his accident. Ken finds a buyer for the car. Jack asks to work on the bike at the garage but Kevin refuses. Kevin and Mark dress for a tropical climate but everybody thinks they look ridiculous. Percy is sacked by the Council as he's too old. Curly is Ken's buyer. He agrees to purchase Ken's car for £1,450, confident of the car's condition because Ken is a mate. Ken doesn't tell him about the faults. Sally tells Kevin and Mark to stop it. Emily asks Deirdre to investigate Percy's sacking. Jack sells the bike to Jim for £150. Curly is thrilled with the car but Vera tells him his driving is jerky. Deirdre tells Percy he was sacked because he lied about his age when he applied for the crossing job and he isn't likely to get any compensation. Sally tells Kevin she's pregnant.
