Plot[]
Vera's mention of "Brian" upsets Ivy. Deirdre decides not to tell Tracy about the divorce yet. Jim explains to Frank Gregson the troubles he had with Audrey. Dave wants to live with Deirdre and suggests they move in together to show Ken he's wasting his time. He proposes but Deirdre feels he's trying to organise her the way Ken used to do and tells him that she wants to live her life. He walks out on her for good. Mavis feels guilty that somebody somewhere may be missing Harry. Derek tells her how he swapped the budgies for her. She is horrified. Emily tackles Ken about his frequenting the Rovers to pursue Deirdre. He tells her it's nothing to do with her. Deirdre starts the divorce off by meeting Peter Blackstone, a fellow councillor who is a solicitor. Mavis insists that Derek swap the budgies back. He tells her to do it herself. Bet presses Alec to hire a new barmaid. Don asks Jack to shut Vera up for Ivy's sake. The Wiltons make up. Mavis decides to keep Harry. Alf demands an apology from Jim. Jim refuses and resigns from Gregson's shop.
