PlotEdit

The Wiltons sleep at the airport with fellow passenger Ernie Lumsden. Alec's earache goes and he's back to his old self. Rosamund Travel still isn't answering the phone so Ernie gives up, abandoning the Wiltons to their fate. Ken leads the teachers in criticism of the sponsorship. Mrs Jeffers tells him the school has to take money when it's offered and accuses him of being biased against Phil because of his friendship with Deirdre. Deirdre is disappointed when Phil tells the papers about his donation to the school, realising he only did it to raise the company's profile. Jackie worries that she can't run the factory when Mike goes to Paris. Mike offers to go another time but she says it makes no difference. Sun Rise Tours tells the Wiltons that the owner of Rosamund Travel, Mr Wilkinson, is arriving to straighten things out and they can fly to Madeira tonight. Deirdre decides not to help Phil again. Ken accuses her of going out with Phil. Mavis calls Rita and tells her they're still at the airport. Mike drops Paris for Jackie, to Alma's fury. The owner of Rosamund Travel has disappeared. The Wiltons are told they won't get their money back. Alec tells Ken that he knew Phil under another name when he ran the Graffiti Club. Rita storms into the Rovers and accuses Alec of cheating the Wiltons.
