Alec is puzzled by what Jim said as he hasn't yet made Christmas staffing arrangements. Liz admits that Jack was her source. Victor considers shutting down the Weatherfield branch and transferring business to the more profitable Darlington branch. Gail rows with Sally about Kevin enticing Martin to drink. Alec tells Jim that Jack "volunteered" to work Liz's shift on Christmas Day; no one is more surprised than Jack himself. Jackie breaks down and accuses Mike of only sleeping with her to gain control of the factory. He insists it wasn't planned. Sally is hurt by Gail's attitude and refuses to make amends with her. Martin tries to make peace, to no avail. Jackie plans to offer Mike money to leave the factory. He kisses her, leaving her confused. Victor blames Derek for not making enough money. Derek asks to be allowed to go out and find new contracts. Victor agrees to give him a chance. Jack blows a fuse at No.9 when he puts the Christmas lights on. Kevin and Martin get Sally and Gail together. They make up but Kevin is annoyed when Sally calls him bossy. Curly is horrified that the Taylors have written to his parents thanking them for having Kimberley for Christmas. Mike and Jackie declare their love for each other. Mike tells her that he'll sort Alma out before Christmas.
