Plot[]

The McDonalds are confused over their feelings about Liz being pregnant. They feel the sensible thing would be to have an abortion. The Websters agree that Sally should tell Bill he has to move out. The Duckworths enjoy the idea of being shopkeepers but Reg thinks they're just being nosy and acting out revenge for him not allowing them credit. Sally is relieved when Bill tells her that he's moving out to lodge at the Rovers as he knows he's in the way. Liz and Jim are relieved when the pregnancy turns out to be a false alarm although they can't help wondering what life would be like with a baby. Vera enjoys queening it in the corner shop, having Reg rushing around for her. She tells him that she's got big plans for the shop. Jack has the £30,000 cheque framed, much to Vera's delight. He tells her that he's given his notice in at the Rovers and thinks they should push ahead with buying the shop. Des and Curly bump into each other at the gym after taking to heart Raquel's comments about their unfit bodies. They both have a terrible time. Gail is annoyed when she takes Nick to visit Ivy only to find her a complete wreck due to Don's divorce claim. Reg shows the Duckworths the books. Vera swoops on the news that Alf owes £26. Jim tells Liz they should consider options to ensure she is never pregnant.
