Rita invites Emily and Norris to spend New Year with her and Anthony. The Watts leave on their honeymoon. Roy and Hayley are both upset at seeing Wayne Hayes returned to the Children's Home. Sally is suspicious of Natalie's motives towards Kevin. Martin visits Rebecca. She admits that had he not turned up, she would not have gone to look for him. Although she tries desperately to hide her feelings for him, it is too much. She breaks down and they end up sleeping together. Gail tells Sally and Rita that Christmas was a success with Martin and she is confident that their relationship has turned a corner. Sally confronts Natalie about her relationship with Kevin. Natalie is so annoyed, she tells Sally she knows that she and Kevin slept together before he and Alison got married. This embarrasses and hurts Sally so she leaves. Martin asks Rebecca to quit her job in Dubai which she won't do. She then asks Martin to go back with her.
